چکیده

The effectiveness of a hybrid cooling system consisting flat heat pipes (HP) and sink phase change material (PCM) for the temperature regulation photocell (PV) is studied. mathematically modeled numerically solved by using MatLab software. impact type PCM (RT25, RT35, RT42) in summer on performance analyzed. Results prove that HP-PCM performs better than natural cooling. with low melting point more efficient electric high point. For given thickness 4 cm, maximum reduced 8.7 °C when RT25 used as compared to 7.5 7.3 RT35 RT42, respectively. RT25-based PV/HP-PCM outperformed conventionally cooled terms electrical efficiency 5.3%. In comparison, RT42 yield incremental gains 5% 4.5 %, As lowered, hourly thermal increases peak 48.9% RT25, 33.7% 32.2%

PCM storage system with integrated active heat pipe

The use of the latent heat of phase change materials (PCM) is considered a promising approach to store heat at a nearly constant temperature for direct steam generation (DSG), but the poor thermal conductivity of commonly available storage materials imposes severe limitations on storage performance. A new method is proposed to overcome the limitations of the low thermal conductivity. The approa...

Determination of the Heat Storage Capacity of Pcm and Pcm-objects as a Function of Temperature

Phase change materials (PCM) are thermal storage materials with a high storage density for small temperature range applications. One such application is the storage of natural cold of the night to use during daytime, called “free cooling”. Very high energy efficiency can be reached as the cold has not to be generated. Those systems are especially interesting for lightweight buildings, which hea...

Transient cooling of electronics using phase change material (PCM)-based heat sinks

Use of a phase change material (PCM)-based heat sink in transient thermal management of plastic quad flat package (QFP) electronic devices was investigated experimentally and numerically. Results show that increased power inputs enhance the melting rate as well as the thermal performance of the PCM-based heat sinks until the PCM is fully melted. A three-dimensional computational fluid dynamics ...
